Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time, working Supervisor to work alongside Maintenance Technicians. The project is a multi-year, performance-based, transportation asset management contract. The Maintenance Technician Supervisor will perform maintenance operations in the I-4 Orlando, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
Roadway maintenance experience
MOT Certifications (traffic control)
Public works, roadway, and/or toll lane maintenance experience
Preferred Experience:
Concrete forming/repair experience
Wheel Loader, Skid steer, Forklift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
CDL License a plus
Spanish/English bilingual (written and spoken)
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
Schedule:
Full time; Monday - Friday, day shift, 7am - 3pm, with some night work if needed. Must be able to work in weather emergencies and be flexible to work other hours according to project and client requests.
Salary:
$22-$24, depending on experience.
