Position summary: National leader in maintenance management headquartered in Frederick, MD has an immediate opening for a full time Fleet Specialist- Regional to travel and oversee their fleet of snow/ice equipment, 300 trucks and construction equipment located throughout Texas and Colorado.  This position will be based out of the office in Grand Prairie, TX and will report to the Corporate Fleet Director.

  • Preference for fleet management/inspection experience
  • Ability to travel 75% within Texas and Colorado
  • Valid Driver License

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee regional fleet program to include:
    • Oversee and coordinate new equipment outfitting.
    • Oversee and coordinate decommissioning of equipment to be disposed of.
    • Coordinate and oversee de-winterizing/preseason snow and ice equipment start up and testing.
    • Review and monitor routine maintenance program.
    • Manage specialty equipment utilization and scheduling i.e. mulch truck.
    • Processing related invoices and fuel allocations
    • Dashcam installation and transfer coordination
    • Regulatory filings and registrations as needed.
    • Complete routine project visits to monitor equipment conditions and inspections.
    • Maintenance system management
      • Assist in-house mechanic shops recording work activity.
    • Advance corporate procurement process to include:
      • Competitive quoting
      • Centralized buyer for multi-state requirements
    • Develop strong customer service-oriented relationships with project personnel.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of administrative activities

Mechanical knowledge of auto, heavy trucks, and off road equipment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Solid organizational planning skills
Proper phone technique and protocol
Excellent verbal and written skills
Skill in establishing priorities and managing workloads.
Ability to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in the order to meet changing job conditions
Neat and legible handwriting skills
Perform basic math skills including calculations using fractions, percent, and/ratios
Read and understand manuals, write documents following prescribed formats
Understand multi-step written and oral instructions
Self-starter who can work independently
Dependable and highly organized with business and maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and positive attitude

Schedule:
Full time, typically Monday-Friday, or as business needs arise. Must be able
 to travel 75% of the time within Texas and Colorado.
