Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time
Bridge Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Austin, Texas area, specifically on IH-35. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, inspections, bridge and concrete repair, and structure maintenance, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

This position will report to project yard located in Buda, TX.


Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in construction industry
Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge, structure construction, concrete form/placement, and repair work
Roadway or tollway maintenance experience


Preferred Experience:
Must be able to work with computer and smart phone applications
MOT Certifications (traffic control)
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
CDL A License a plus

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Must have organizational and presentation skills
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule and multi-task
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:
Full time; Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, with some night and weekend work if needed. Must be able to work during snow and ice events.
Will be placed on on-call schedule.
Must be able to travel 75% within Texas and outside of Texas region.


Day shift starting rate of $18.50/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience. Guardrail Experience starting rate of $23.00/hr.
Night shift starting rate of $23.00/hr.
CDL Drivers rate of $24.00/hr.
Higher pay rates may be offered with skills, certifications and/or experience in construction.
