Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Road Ranger Superintendent to perform operations in the Davie/Fort Lauderdale, FL area. Responsibilities include overseeing Road Rangers, communicating with Project Management, TMC and field staff to respond to emergencies and/or incidents on the roadway.  Help mitigate delays caused by traffic incidents or obstructions on the road, increase safety of emergency responders, document all work performed with detailed time logs, etc. overseeing the day to day duties performed by the Road Rangers.  The Road Ranger Superintendent will assist responding agencies in safely securing a scene and reopening the roadway as quickly and safely as possible to meet the 90 minute Open Roads Policy goal, with adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Required Experience & Training:
Minimum of 5 years of Road Ranger experience
Basic knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Earth
Strong leadership qualities; must have experience in overseeing and leading construction crews
CPR, Smith Driving and Maintenance of Traffic Certifications
TIMs and HAZMAT - First Responder Level


Preferred Experience & Training:
Incident Report Writing
CDL License
FEMA 100
FEMA 200
FEMA 800c

Clean driving record is essential

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:
Full time; Must be flexible and able to work varying schedules.
