Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a qualified Regional Engineer to support operations at project locations throughout Denver, CO project region. The primary role is to lead and support critical initiatives of the project operation including; driving appropriate analyses, meeting project goals, managing timelines and working with the operation and project team to successfully implement new processes or strategy from a management and engineer’s standpoint.

Major functions:
  • Develop work programs and adhere to project timelines, outline resources required for successful implementations of initiatives, and monitor results to ensure goals are met
  • Conducts organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness
  • Field operations leadership
  • Implement and support division and project goals are met and adhered to

 

Required Experience:

  • Experience with managing workforces, vendors, subcontractors, equipment, and material resources

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years prior operations, maintenance, or construction experience within transportation roadway, bridge, and facility assets
  • Minimum 1+ years managerial experience
  • EIT or PE certification
  • Roadway maintenance experience
  • MOT Certifications
  • Engineer with construction and engineering experience in the highway industry preferred

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college or university
  • Strong communication skills with ability to get things done through others
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Ability to resolve disputes amicably and with professionalism
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed
  • Comfortable working in the field and getting along with construction and maintenance personnel
  • Shows strong commitment to the company culture and proves to be a champion of our initiatives
  • Analytical, writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Maintain company standards for background checks
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
  • Carry out complex arithmetic functions
  • Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
  • Neat, clean and presentable appearance
  • Knowledge and ability to quickly adapt to the latest technology
  • Ability to use and support smart phones and applications
  • Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
  • Ability to relocate for the right opportunity

 

Schedule:
