Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations in the Nashville, Tennessee area. This position is a technician-level role primarily responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance (lube technician duties) on company-owned trucks and equipment. The Fleet Maintenance Technician works primarily in a maintenance bay and laydown yard, with occasional field support for minor breakdowns and repairs. This position performs scheduled PMs, basic inspections, and minor mechanical repairs in a safe, efficient, quality-minded, and client-focused manner and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related experience
Preferred Experience:
Roadway maintenance experience
MOT Certifications
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
- Prior lube technician or preventive maintenance experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with light trucks and equipment.
