Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Mowing Crew Supervisor to perform and oversee landscaping maintenance operations in the Tampa, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway landscaping and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Experience and skills required:

• Operate on highway and off highway equipment such as trucks and mowing equipment
• Supervise small person crews of two to three team members
• Strong bilingual capability in Spanish and English required
• Identify best methods to create work efficiencies
• Develop and manage scheduling based on field observations and experience.
• Must have previous related experience (mowing, weed eating, litter removal, and irrigation repair)
• Ability to work and enjoy being outdoors
• Independent work skills
• Integrate safety practices into all activities required to get the work completed
• Some computer skills and the ability to work with mobile technologies a plus

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:
Full time; Day shift, must be flexible.  

Salary:
$22+/hr depending on experience.
