Concrete Maintenance Technician Specialist
Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Concrete Maintenance Technician Specialist, to travel and perform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Adkins, Texas area during the day shift, and occasionally in night shift. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway concrete repair/maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
- Concrete forming, finishing, and repair experience required - Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
- Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, etc operator
Preferred Experience:
- Roadway maintenance experience
- Air compressor operations familiarity
- Guardrail and Sign installation experience
- MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
- Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
Schedule:
Must be able to work rotating day or night shift. Day shift is typically 7am - 3:30pm. Night shift is typically 6pm - 2:30am or once concrete is cured, Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
Day shift starting rate of $17.00/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience. Guardrail Experience starting rate of $19.50/hr
