Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Street Sweeper with a CDL-B license to perform highway maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area, specifically on the SH288 corridor.  This position requires working in area projects and performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience:
Possess a valid Class B license without brake restriction for minimum of 1 year with satisfactory record

Preferred Experience:
TMA Driver
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification
Heavy equipment certifications preferred
Minimum 1+ years experience loading and unloading heavy equipment
Minimum 1+ years operating front end loaders and skid steers
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
Ability to travel/work to other Texas projects for temporary assignments, if needed
 
Schedule:
Full time - Mon - Fri 7:30am - 4pm
Must be able to work nights, weekends, overtime, and on call schedule when needed. Will work snow and ice removal and other weather related events.
