Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Structures Maintenance Technician to join a team based near Tampa, FL to perform bridge maintenance operations for state-owned bridges and structures in multiple counties around the states of Florida and Georgia, and flexible to travel to other states such as Colorado, Texas, and Virginia. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to bridge maintenance and construction and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Salary:
$18-$22+/hr depending on experience. 

Schedule:
Full-time; must be flexible and willing to work nights, some weekends, and overtime as needed. 80%-90% travel required. Per diem and travel coordination provided. 

Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Full bilingual Spanish/English
• Bridge maintenance or construction skills
• Advanced MOT Certifications
• General knowledge of reading/understanding plans and specifications for structures

Qualifications:

• CDL license preferred, but not required
• Must have transportation to and from Company office
• Ability to take direction and work independently
• Produce quality work in an efficient manner
• Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
