Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Operations Center Manager to support, assist, and guide Florida project operations from an engineer’s standpoint while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.  This position will be responsible for management of Jorgensen’s Florida operations center located in Clermont, FL which is the centralized technical and administrative management center for highway maintenance contract operations located within the state.  The Operations Center Manager will be responsible to lead all key management functions required of the operations center.  The goal of this position is to continuously perform planning, scheduling, and technical functions to support highway maintenance contract operations efficiencies, cost reduction principals, and quality compliance.
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (ABET-accredited) Engineer (required)
Engineer in Training (EI) certificate (obtained or registered-in-progress) or Professional Engineer (PE) endorsement
Ten - twelve (10 - 12) years minimum construction and engineering experience in the highway/roadway/transportation industry

Comfortable working in the field (highway) and getting along with construction and maintenance personnel
Shows strong commitment to the company culture and proves to be a champion of our initiatives
Ability to type proficiently, navigate through e-cloud networks, MAC and PC OS
Read and understand technical manuals, write technical documents following prescribed formats
Willingness to learn and grow with firm for a long-term leadership position
Strong communication skills with ability to get things done through others
Strong computer and analytical skills
Ability to resolve disputes amicably and with professionalism
Excellent organization, analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills
Ability to relocate for the right opportunity

Proficient in Microsoft suite software and institutional databases

Schedule:
Full time
 
Travel:
Travel required (25%), up to 50%; travel locations primarily are located within southeast US, however international travel may be required
