Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full time Facilities Electrician to p
rovide electrical repair and installation services to support on-going facility operations in the Houston, TX
area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related general electrical support and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong customer service-oriented relationship with client employees and managers.

  • Solve client facilities-related problems.
  • Promote company management philosophy through personal example.

  • Conduct day-to-day activities necessary to provide for the safety and comfort of facility occupants and to protect the value and extend the life of the facility asset.
  • Maintain all facility interior and exterior electrical components in their best and most cost-effective condition.

  • Report all equipment failures or contractor requirements to Maintenance Manager.
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs to protect the value and extend the life of electrical components and to provide for cost-effective operation.

  • Manage and oversee outsourced service providers to ensure work is performed effectively and executed safely.
  • Report needed repairs beyond budget approval limit to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist with project retrofits and other project related work efforts
  • Maintain on-call status, 24-hours daily for immediate action pertaining to critical systems failure.
  • Obtain and follow updates for equipment maintenance improvement and upkeep.

  • Obtain and follow updates on all clients, Jorgensen, local, state and federal laws, rules, regulations, guidelines and ordinances.

  • Practice client security regulations and procedures.

Required Experience:

  • Customer service orientation

  • Experience managing heavy workloads in a fast paced environment

  • Database management experience

  • Data entry experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent filing and organization skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good general computer skills

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; some college courses preferred, but not required

  • Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)

  • Preferred candidate will have on-going coursework and education in the electrical field

    Must have strong customer service skills and

  • Must have practical computer knowledge.

  • Neat, clean and presentable appearance

  • Self-starter who can work independently

  • Dependable and highly organized with business and maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.

 

Schedule:
Full time, M - F 7:00am - 3:00pm. Must be available to work weekends and nights when necessary.
