Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Roadway Infrastructure Inspector to perform highway inspections operations in the Southeast United States.  This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to inspections and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Perform contract inspections for road and bridge projects in Florida
• Perform condition assessments and develop asset inventories of upcoming projects nationwide
• Perform quality assurance inspections on FDOT contracts
• Coordinate inspection process with project staff, management, and support teams
• Submit clear, organized documentation per the latest procedures
• Self-manage planning and logistics with frequent travel

Required Experience:
Meet minimum requirements to operate a company vehicle
Able to travel within Florida up to 100%, able to travel outside Florida and weekends up to 25%
Basic math and computer skills
Able to read and understand specifications and construction drawings

Preferred Experience:
MRP Team Leader
CTQP QC Manager
Intermediate MOT
Able to speak and understand Spanish
Experience with FDOT contracts
Experience with road and bridge maintenance and inspection

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
 
Schedule:
Full time; Must be flexible.

Travel:
Travel required 90-100%.  Travel locations primarily are located within southeast US.
