Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking several full-time
CDL A Drivers to perform
skilled maintenance operations in the Houston and Pearland area. (highway maintenance, driving, concrete and guardrail repair, equipment operator on a limited basis, etc).
This position requires performing a variety of tasks and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and
local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience:

Class A CDL license, Minimum 2+ years experience operating commercial vehicles
Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
Roadway maintenance experience
MOT Certificati
ons (traffic control)
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check


Preferred Experience:

Roadway maintenance experience
MOT certification (Traffic Control) - TMA drivers
Concrete forming/repair experience, preferred but not required
Able to work long hours when needed
Knowledgeable of hand tools

On the job training provided.

Qualifications:
Must sign per diem and other expense reports when requested. Must turn in receipts for per diem if requested.
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Ability to operate hand/power tools
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to safely operate pickups, TMA's, and other company vehicles required.
Ability to safely operate loader, skid steer, forklift, Skytrac, scissor lift, boom lift, CDL trucks, trailers, and other equipment required for the job (MT4 only)
Capable of lifting 50 lbs repeatedly and 75 lbs often
Constant and repetitive use of machinery & tools, including hammers, screwdrivers, shovels, drills, gas powered saws, and other machinery & tools of the trade
Constant and repetitive bending, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking
Occasional driving, sitting
Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, rotating shifts, varying hours, in inclement weather and natural disasters
Must be punctual to work
Must be punctual and prepared with proper tools when departing for work site
Must adhere to sick and vacation leave requirements (including notifying supervisor in advance)
Must maintain active drivers license status and be available to drive

Schedule:
Full time. Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm. Must be flexible to work nights and weekends when necessary.
