Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Third Party Claims Administrators.

 

This position is an entry level administrative role. Most of the work requires only basic administrative skills and claims experience. Responsibilities will include: reviewing third party claims and investigating accidents using critical thinking skills.

 

Major Functions of the Job

  1. Perform detailed claims review and communicate with administrators and field personnel.
  2. Conduct thorough investigation of all incidents that occur on Jorgensen project limits.
  3. Maintain in-house database management system (JAMMS) by ensuring all required documents are attached to the corresponding incident.
  4. Determine what data or additional information is necessary to submit a claim for maximum amount of recovery.
  5. Contact technicians and administrative personnel within one (1) business day to retrieve additional information and photos when necessary.
  6. Edit the incident data, so that it is descriptive, accurate, and easy to follow.
  7. Use critical thinking skills to solve problems for all situations.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Moderate lifting up to 20 pounds.

  • Dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse.

  • Ability to hear and speak clearly

  • Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend and reach.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

 

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, some college courses required with College Degree preferred
    Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organization and independent work skills

  • Excellent written and verbal skills when addressing either individuals or groups

  • Ability to present information in classroom or conference call settings

  • Knowledge of administrative activities

  • Knowledge of phone and messaging systems

  • Proficient computer skills to include MS Word and database management

  • Solid organizational planning

  • Proper phone technique and protocol

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Excellent organization, problem-solving and customer service skills

  • Ability to type 70 wpm

  • Skill in establishing priorities and managing workloads

  • Neat and legible handwriting skills

  • Perform basic math skills including calculations using fractions, percent, and/ratios

  • Read and understand manuals, write documents following prescribed formats

  • Understand multi-step written and oral instructions

  • Self-starter who can work independently

  • Dependable and highly organized with business maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and positive attitude

Schedule:
Monday - Friday. Day shift. Must be able to work non-regular hours, if needed, and on-call rotation.
