Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations in the Austin, TX area. This position is in North Austin, TX and requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen company policies and procedures.

• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
• Pick up debris, perform traffic control, trim and remove trees, apply herbicides, perform sign work, respond to accidents, flood and ice events
• Graffiti removal, handwork, and drain cleaning
• Concrete formation and repairs

Required Experience:
Roadway maintenance experience
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Minimum (2) years prior experience with:

• concrete forming and placement experience
• concrete repair experience

Preferred Experience:
Road maintenance experience
Highway flat work experience
Guardrail & attenuator installation/repair experience
Roadway maintenance or construction experience
MOT Certifications (Traffic Control)
Class A Driver's License (CDL)
OSHA and/or CPR certifications

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:
Full time, day and night shift available.
Must be flexible to work days/nights, weekends, and possible overtime when necessary, including during snow and ice events.
