Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Maintenance Supervisor to perform and oversee highway maintenance operations in the Treasure Coast, FL area (Palm Beach, Martin, Saint Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee and Osceola Counties). This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, concrete repair, asphalt repair, highway lighting, sign repair, guardrail repair, attenuator repair and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen company policies and procedures. Supervise multiple in-house crews and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed in an efficient manner. Ability to create work schedule and produce quality accomplishment reports. Ability to self-perform. Ability to implement Corporate policies and safety procedures.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of construction experience
Basic knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Earth
Strong leadership qualities; must have experience in overseeing and leading construction crews
Knowledge of FDOT Design Standards and its application
Preferred Experience:
Maintenance of Traffic Certifications – Intermediate or Advanced
Construction equipment operation (loader, excavator, skid steer, etc.)
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
Schedule:
Full time position requiring on-call responsibilities and time commitments.
