Position summary:
Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Facilities Labor Crew technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area. The facilities Labor Crew position is an independent position that will incorporate problem solving and customer service skills. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining an area of service and performing proactive and reactive repair work in that area. You will work with your area supervisor to schedule and predict maintenance repair issues within an allotted time. In addition, you will be responsible for a company issued vehicle, tools, and documentation on our mobile documenting platform. This position requires a technical skill set, a high degree of focus, good communication skills, and a self-driven mentality.

Preferred experience:
Roadway Maintenance experience
Background in Residential/Commercial plumbing

Required Experience:
Plumbing experience - Apprentice or Certified
Customer service: Professionalism and communication with the clients
Autonomous daily scheduling: Time management
General commercial maintenance or apartment maintenance
Responsible for a company issued vehicle, tools, and documentation on mobile documenting platform.
This position requires a technical skill set, a high degree of focus, good communication skills, and a self-driven mentality.

Major Functions of the Job:
Maintaining commercial facilities: Repairing doors (and door hardware), replacing lights and ballasts, replacing lock cores, moving furniture and furnishings, etc.
Data entry on mobile device for documenting progress and completed service requests.
Performing preventive maintenance tasks: Generator checks, lighting systems checks, daily building inspections, etc.

Develop a strong customer service-oriented relationship with client employees and manager.
Solve client facilities-related problems.
Promote company management philosophy through personal example.
Be a dependable and reliable member of the team.
Show initiative; seek out work and get the job done without being told.
Provide assistance to other workers as necessary.
Communicate clearly with supervisors and other team members.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly.
Will ascend/descend structures to perform job duties.
Work safe and independently in client facilities.
Ability to work safely in a wide range of environmental conditions (i.e. work in hot, cold or wet conditions for extended periods of time).
Ability to stand for extended periods of time while operating equipment.
Must wear personal protective equipment at all times on job site.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Practical work experience
Exhibit strong customer service skills and a strong work ethic
Self-starter with a professional manner
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Neat, clean and presentable appearance
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
In addition to the above mentioned list the crew members shall also have at least three (3) or more years of progressively increased experience in plumbing, painting, texturing, floating, finishing, wall repairs, sheet metal repair, and carpentry work.
Clean driving is essential and must pass criminal background check

Schedule:
Full time, M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm
Must be able to work weekends, if necessary
