Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Project Manager to manage and oversee night maintenance operations in the Dallas area. The Project Manager will manage field operations including maintenance staff and subcontractors, vehicles and equipment, and material resources on the project to ensure our work is being completed on-time, on-budget, meet quality standards, meet expectations of the client, and adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

 

This position will contain Estimator responsibilities. This includes actively seeking relevant jobs with local and state municipalities, procuring and understanding the contract, accurately estimating time, labor, equipment and materials to complete the job and working the numbers with regional and upper management to put out the most effective bid.

 

This position will also contain Project Engineer responsibilities. This includes contract management, subcontractor negotiation and oversight, technical analysis for special projects, participating in the Young engineer’s program if applicable, researching new industry/technology, drafting SOPs for maintenance procedures and other analysis related tasks.


Required Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related work experience
Minimum 2 years working in highway maintenance or related field

MOT Certifications (traffic control)
Basic knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Earth
Strong leadership qualities; must have experience in working, overseeing, and leading construction crews
Must be able to travel 50% of the time and work night shift
Full depth repair work - Concrete forming and repair experience

TCP – Traffic control planner


Preferred Experience: Spanish speaker or willingness to learn a plus

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check


Qualifications:

Ability to comply with and execute the company safety, health, and environmental policy
Demonstrated effective leadership abilities
Effective scheduling of multiple crews with support setting up travel arrangements
Microsoft Office, General PC/Mac knowledge, Basic IT skills
Ability to write and verbally communicate in English with employees, clients, and customers

Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Ability to manage budgets and financials
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely both in-doors and outside under varying terrain and environmental weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Knowledge of mechanics and operation of hand/power tools and equipment


Schedule:
Full time. Night crew works from Sunday - Thursday (some day, evening and weekend work)
