Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians - Skilled Crew to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail and/or drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
Preferred Experience:Roadway maintenance experience
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Schedule:
Full time; Day shift and night shift available. Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.

Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians - Skilled Crew to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Houston, TX area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail and/or drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
- Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
- Air compressor operations familiarity
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Roadway maintenance experience
- Guardrail and Sign installation experience
- Concrete forming/repair experience
- MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
- Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
Preferred Experience:Roadway maintenance experience
- CDL license a plus
- Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
