Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Contract Manager to perform operations in the Davie/Fort Lauderdale, FL area. Responsibilities include will work closely with local supervisors and the Regional Manager on contract related issues and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to bridge and structure maintenance operations and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of maintenance contract packages by providing field measurements, estimating quantities, and other necessary data. 
  • Prepare and review contract maintenance work orders and work plans.
  • Plan and schedule contractor in-house maintenance activities.
  • Prepare contract progress reports (Title 6 Areas, Invasive Species, Costumer Complaint Reports).
  • Periodically review the roadway for short-term and long-term maintenance needs.
  • Inspect reports, including monthly reports, client reports, corporate reports.
  • Perform QA/QC inspections and prepare reports.

 

Required Experience & Training:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of contract management experience
  • Basic knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Earth
  • Strong leadership qualities; must have experience in overseeing and leading maintenance/construction crews


Preferred Experience & Training:

  • Smith Driving and Maintenance of Traffic Certifications
  • TIMs and HAZMAT - First Responder Level


Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:
Full time; Must be flexible and able to work varying schedules.
