Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician - Service Patrol to perform maintenance operations for the I-595 Project in South FL.  This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway service patrol including working independent on the road during the entire shift.  Frequently walking near high traffic areas and entering and exiting vehicle.  Working under various weather (heat, rain, wind, etc.) and environmental conditions including high vehicle traffic operations.  All employees must adhere to Jorgensen’s safety policy, employment policies, procedures and programs as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Roadway maintenance or construction skills
MOT Certifications

Qualifications:
Must have transportation to and from Company office
Ability to take direction
Produce quality work in an efficient manner
Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
High School Diploma/GED
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
Carry out simple arithmetic functions
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
Ability to use smart phone and applications
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends
Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
Ability to operate hand/power tools
 
Schedule:
Full time; must be flexible and available to work on-call.
